;DMUSIC, THERE IS ALL TYPES OF MUSIC TO LISTEN TOO NOW A DAYS. I GREW UP WITH 61 COUNTRY, THEN AS A TEEN, I LISTENED TO HARD ROCK, HEAD BANGER STUFF, THEN I GOT INTO THE NEW ROCK OF TODAY FOR A WHILE, AND NOW I LISTEN TO MOSTLY NEW COUNTRY, BUT I STILL TRY TO HAVE A OPEN MIND, AND LISTEN TO ALMOST ANYTHING, SO LONG AS IT DON'T SOUND LIKE ELAVATOR OR FUNERAL MUSIC.

Sr. one minute and Jimi Hendrix the next and then I might put in some modern something and pump up the jams and get the Subs Thumpin' lol!The kids' friends didn't know what to think when they came over and seen an ole' Fart jammin with 600watts of bass thumpin the 15" subs.lol!

Well, at least ya know why yer goin deef! Hehehe Chainsaws and sawmills perty much took the edge off my hearing. Hoot would probly say I can hear what I want to. Far as music goes, I'm bout all country. 50s, thru 80s mostly. Hadda wild hair in my teens and thawt WHB radio in KCMO was the only thing there was ; Beatles, Turtles, Tommy James and the Shondells, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Credence Clearwater Revival etc. Turned on ta Waylon, Hank (both of'em), Merle, Roy Clark, Willie, Ronnie Milsap, after that and never grew up any more! It was my goal to be a singer-songwriter and I put a lot of time and money toward that goal. But I never got any better, I just took up all the bad habits of my heroes before I achieved any of their success! Somehow I equated acting like them with being one of them. Wrong! Lotsa dust on the old Ventura, and old notebooks full of all my hits.....I mean misses! Nuffa that fer now!

Hehe! My wife says I have selective hearin' also,it does have some advantages.I can't always hear what I want but I pretty much always "can't" hear the things I don't wanna hear.

;D WHAT SINKER SAID ABOUT THE, NOT HEARING NOTHING WHEN HIS BOXING IS ON, THAT IS THE TRUTH. THE EARTH COULD SHAKE ITSELF INSIDE OUT, AND HE'D NEVER KNOW. ;D, BUT THERE ARE SOME OF THE BOXING MATCHES THAT I CAN DO THE SAME WAY.

I installed Dish fer a couple of years, til my dealer went under. I was given a used PVR (older version) to learn on. I had 60 hours to record boxing til I showed Hoot how to run it. lol It is perty neat; I can watch shows perty quik when I don't watch th commercials. Another thing I did was record part of a guitar lesson show where they were tuning up. Now I can tune to the tv.
