Hi, Guys.. (and gals..hehe) Thanks for the welcome! Nice place ya have here. I'll be floatin' around.. Hoot.. I'm just a converted city boy livin' the real life now. No more big city stuff for this "Adjusted" soul. Gimmie the Country! I converted from a city slicker to carryin' my poop to the compost pile in buckets. Built me a shack in the middle of nowhere and discovered what real livin' is all about. My woman and my dog are my best friends and they prove it to me daily. (I don't have to buy 'em a beer to make 'em talk to me. Ain't got no 'lectric and they're just as happy with it as I am. Who could ask for more..?

That's nice that your wife likes livin' that way.I doubt I could talk mine into it.She and I both grew up livin that way in the rural Ozarks but we have got used to the air conditioner, and kind of like it.lol I think that's the only thing I would have trouble doing without. If I could figure out how to make an Icey Ball that would cool my whole house down I would be ready to try it.

That is a nice design.I have thought of doing something like that for ages but never got passed the thinking stage.lol If I build a new house that would be the way to go.Where I'm at here at the lake it would be hard to do.I cleared out just enough timber to put this mobile home and I have 75' tall white oaks everywhere around the house which makes any digging pretty rough because of the roots.
I would like to study up some on the straw bale houses.I had been hearing of those for a few years now and think they seem like a neat idea but I don't know alot about them.I seen a couple people talking about them over on your site.

VOLTZ, I TO AM A CONVERTED CITY KID. I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN KANSAS CITY, MO. ,THEN 15 YEARS AGO, MA&PA CAME DOWN HERE TO GERSTER, MO., AND I FOLLOWED, DIDN'T WANT TO BE THAT FAR FROM THEM. I GO BACK TO THE CITY ONCE EVERY COUPLE MONTHS, TO SEE MY BOY AND MY GRANDDAUGHTER, BUT IT'S ONLY FER THE WEEKEND, AND I'M ALWAYS SO HAPPY TO BE HOME, AND OUT OF THAT CONCRET JUNGLE. ;D

After runnin' it for a while it seems rust got kicked up from the gas tank and messed the carb up. The sediment bowl was full before I found it.. It's an old updraft type so it ain't too hard to work on. I'll get a rebuild kit and mebby a float too..
