I'm going fishing tonight one way or the other.Seems the last few weeks I have been busy running between hospitals and taking care of business of this and that. This weekend there is nobody in the hospital,no business that can't be put off and I'm going to wet a line.I don't know how the fish have been biting around here but I don't even care,I'm sure you have all felt that way a few times...

I know the feeling! The few times I get to MO to fish, I don't care if their biting for the first 3 days or not. JUST GOTTA FISH. Do me a favor. Leave a few in the lake for me to catch in Oct. Good luck!

Don't worry about any fish being left, whiskers could'nt catch a cat with dynamite. ;D

Don't worry about any fish being left, whiskers could'nt catch a cat with dynamite. ;D I haven't tried catching a cat with dynomite, but I did see a cat (when I was a kid) get a firecracker stuck in it's backside and there wasn't any catching that cat. ;D J/K

I seen an orange cat get a black cat stuck under it's arse while sitting one day and lit off. Don't know if the cat reacted more to the 'Bang', the immediate kick in the pants or it's arse hair being on fire as it took off.

Well, I feel better now after fishing the last 2 nights.Friday night they started biting around 1a.m.We caught 6 blues and 1 channel cat,the biggest was around 5lbs.Last night we didn't get a bite until about 4a.m. when kitty_chaser caught a small blue then about an hour later I hooked my best of the year so far.It was a fair sized blue,Buttons and kitty_chaser said they would guess it at about 20-25lbs and I figure that was a little conservative. It was the first one this year that wouldn't fit in the livewell of my pontoon or my big coleman cooler so I had to break out my nylon 10' stringer and tie him to the side of my boat.I caught him on a Zebco 808 with a treble hook and 3 big nightcrawlers on it for bait.I was anchored on the edge of a mudflat in about 9 feet of water casting out into the channel which was about 50 feet deep and then I would reel in until my bait was in about 20 feet of water.I was on the inside of a big bend, where I normally fish on the other side on the outside bend. I would have taken a picture after I got home but by the time I put the fishing poles and tackle boxes away Buttons already had him filleted... I won't say how many she caught last night but it rhymes with Nero. ;D

Thanks, the 808 didn't have any trouble but I've got it mounted on a 4 1/2 foot boat rod with a 50lb line rating and I used it to do all the work.I had been using a Penn all summer and hadn't caught anything of size so this time out I took the 808 and a little Shakespeare about the size of a zebco 33.I hooked something with it that took off upstream and stripped all my line without slowing down much.
