I know the R&R folks would like to think they are the only Anglers but I would disagree.I think the term Angler originally came from the fact you dangle your bait parallel to the line and when the fish bites it causes the hook to pull at a right angle to the line sticking in the fishes gullet. So I will stick to the idea that an "Angler" is one who uses a hook and line but a pole is not needed. Now if that don't float I will make up something else to support my claim..LOL!!

Most of my fishing is over for the winter it looks like.I'll be back to bank fishing on some of the nicer days but unless we get some rain I won't be putting the boats back in.The cove here at the house is only about 3 feet deep right now by the ramp.I have the covers put on the boats,I will prolly take them out and run some stabil through the fuel tanks and then park them for the winter.I can still put in at the swim beach about 3 miles from here but it will be pretty busy on the nice days because that is where everybody will be putting in all winter. There is about 10 accesses around here for us but when the lake drops everyone has to use the swim beach, because the mud flats are blocking off most of the coves on our side of the lake.It is still about 50' deep on the opposite bank but that don't help us much on this side.

We're gonna make this the last one, too, looks like. Yield versus cost is prohibitive! And when ya hafta use big words th fishin ain't worth it!

Lake of the Ozarks.I'm about mid-way between Bagnell Dam and Truman Dam.It's a pretty good area to be in,If I go up the lake it's mostly fishing boats and a more big river like setting and if I go down stream from here it is the big lake with the big yachts and cigar boats where you can ski and play around.
