It's normally pretty peaceful and quiet here around me,but this holiday weekend has brought in the people from everywhere.Last night I sat out in the yard for a little while and I could see the light from around 75 campfires just around me.All around me is usually vacant lots that people from the cities own and very seldom do I see anyone around. They come in once or twice a year and almost never are they all here on the same weekend.I guess they had a bad case of spring fever cause they are all here right now.So instead of getting out and fishing this weekend I'm letting them have the place,I will go after they leave. After this talk of fish I'm getting hungry so I think I will go to Shoney's now and have the Seafood Buffet.Be safe out there.

I am retired so I do my fishing during the week but not on Friday, Sat or Sun. I cut my grass on Sat and do chores as well to free up the week. Until this year because of a conflict, I take the long Memorial Day weekend to go to Table Rock. I fish from 5:30 AM until about 10:30 AM and then get off the lake until after sundown. The waves from all the boats just beats me up. I run a 16.5 ft. Lund Explorer tiller with a 50 hp Yamaha. It is a deep hull boat, but the person up front takes a pounding.
