Hey guys and gals. How's your lakes doin'? Here in Texas we are dryin' up. My favorite lake "Tawakoni" is down 8.52' . It looks more like 10' or better. I think there is only one boat ramp open right now. This lake is 37,879 acres. We are camping on the bottom of what used to be a good fishin' hole. Kinda strange to be sittin' right where ya caught fish at last year. The worst lake level in my aera would have to be "Bridgeport" down 14.5' this lake is 11,954 acres and must just about be dry by now. I know Lake Lavon is lookin' really bad also. It's down 13.16' it's a 21,400 acre lake and most boat docks are no where near the water right now. Also Lake Cooper is down about 12.78' and most boat ramps are closed there also. This lake is 19,305 acres. Tell us how your fav. lakes / rivers are doin'.

Truman Lake is showin itself ta be th true joke it always has been! Flood Control; HA!! Gonna hafta get somebody in charge of it with a brain bigger'n a fish egg. When it wants ta flood, it'll flood, an when typical Missouri weather patterns arrive it'll be a mud flat!

Lake of the Ozarks is about 20 inches under normal pool our water comes right out of Truman Dam.I think Truman is about a foot below normal pool but it is a long way below it's capacity.Lake of the Ozarks doesn't have the flood pool like Truman does,We only go a few inches above normal pool at any time.In the winter when they draw down the water we only get between 6-7 feet low.It stays pretty stable since the built Truman at the upper end of the lake.Truman was designed to handle all the floodwater and hold it to keep this lake stable.I think Truman can get about 20 or 25 feet above normal pool and I'm not sure how far below normal they let it get in order to keep this one stable but that makes alot of difference between the flood level and the low water mark on Truman.I would say Truman could vary 25-30 feet during the year. That makes for some very different fishing conditions up around Sinkers way on Truman.

Sucky Flats is what they oughta call it! The way they manage th levels in this mud puddle may have a lot ta do with the poor fishin this year. Why would fish come up th rivers when there ain't gonna be water in'em fer th whole season?!? our fishin goes ta hell in late summer so Party Cove can have their quota of fun and drownings! If they just want water fer th lake of the Ozarks, fill up some of those unproductive valleys down there, an let me have my rivers back. I promise; I won't fish in their lake anymore.

lol! I know what ya mean.Since LOZ is all private owned they have in their permit that they will keep it at those levels so all the rich folk in their condos will have a pretty view in their back yard i guess.I'm not really complaining but I never fished LOZ until I moved up here and I still haven't figured it out.Part of the time it's like a big river and part of the time it's like a lake, just depends on the current.
