I mainly fish on the Mississippi, usually below Meyer Dam. It's a great place, and has great cenery.

Is that between Quincy and Hannibal or to the north of you?

I haven't fished the Miss. much.I fished once around Alton and a few times south of St. Louis around Hercy(herculaneum) Crystal city.I lived in Crystal City for a few months once.I would like to try it a little more some time.

No, it's north of use. If you go to Ursa, there are signs all over there that point you towards Meyer. Then you have to follow the North bottom road too, not that hard to find, but is kinda confusing.

i took a river boat ride at natchez ms. the capt let me ride in the wheel house. not long after we took off i saw the biggest whirlpool i ever saw in my life. boat capt . told me stories of 18ft. jons being swallowed hole in the river. dont know if its true but it looked plausible from where i was setting. i'd still love to fish there though.
