Cover broiling pan with foil for easy cleanup. Lay fillets on pan, skin side down. Salt to taste. Cover the top side of each fillet with about 1/8 - 1/4 inch of mayonnaise. Broil as far away from heat as possible till mayonnaise is turning dark brown. Check to see if fillets are thoroughly cooked; if not, switch oven to bake at 350 and bake till fillets are flaky. Be careful not to burn the mayonnaise.
