Ya can anchor them and leave'em up ta 24 hours and yer allowed 33 hooks all told. I like ta use about 30 jugs and fish with 2 or 3 poles while I'm watching the jugs. Ya can let'em free float, at least most places, but ya hafta stay in sight, or what ever attendance means. That's ok with me, cause it keeps most folks honest and it's a blast watchin'em anyhow!

Fishermen using free-floating jugs now need to be in personal attendance (within view) of their jugs in order to ensure fish and equipment won't be lost. Anglers may fish with anchored jugs (these would be considered set lines) and attend them daily rather than remain in personal attendance.www.sos.mo.gov/adrules/csr/current/3csr/3c10-6.pdfBasicly the jugs have to have your personal info on them(water proof) just as a trot or limb line does. Free floating jugs you need to keep in sight so you can attend to them 'if they have a fish, someone starts messing with them, or so you can see them if an agent starts checking them'(per the MDC regs). Anchored Jugs need to have 'at least' a 2lb weight or more on them. The MDC considers a 2lb weight the bare minimum needed for the average cat. 33 hooks maximum for ALL methods combined. Oh yeah, fishing license required...lol After dark reflective tape or glow sticks are a good idea to keep em in sight. I like white gallon milk jugs myself. Sinker, you could'nt catch fish with dynamite!
