Think this post would stay calm 'over there'? It's from a site i used to frequent i check out once in awhile. It also had a 96lb blue pic that came from the same river by another guy.
"My buddies and I are all from the originally from the Carrollton area, we started fishing the Grand River about 10 years ago. We usually start on a Wednesday or Thursday evening setting out lines and pulling them on Sunday morning or evenings. We run the lines early am and the evening just before dark.
This year two of us set out 31 bank poles on Wednesday night the 3rd of May. The next morning we waited for our other two fishing buddies to get in and we went and checked them. We had 15 fish on those 31 poles. We had two 44 pound Blues. We ended up setting out just over a hundred hooks for four of us. We ended up with 113 fish by the time we pulled our lines on Sunday evening and 60% were Flats. It is the best we have ever done. We used a mix of Bank Poles and Trot lines and baited with live perch. I have always wanted to switch to fishing the Missouri, but I can't do it, I always catch fish on the Grand. We sure have been eating good."
113 fish and they "did'nt" practice C&R, they practiced C&E.(Catch n Eat...lol)
