I ran up to Bass Pro yesterday after I got done working and hit their big sale. They had some Rod Holders (the ad shows $15 a pair but they were $11 in store)on sale.$11 for a 2 pack seemed like a good deal so I picked up 2 of the 2 packs. It sure beats the $16 a piece for the Attwoods that I have a pair of already, and they look to be made the same.I needed to add a few more in my pontoon,I had a few of the cheap metal ones($3 a piece) I bought last year but they were pretty flimsy so I'm replacing them. As usual I didn't get out of there without buying several other items while I was there.New line, sinkers and other small odds and ends.

Did you have to buy adapters to fit on your rails? They look pretty nice for the price!

They came with a set of side mounts that will work fine if you don't mind drilling bolt holes through the rails.I'm not sure if I will do that or use U-bolts to clamp them down. I was comparing them to the set of Attwood's I have here and I can't tell any difference in quality. The brand of these are "Action" but I don't mind the offbrand name for the price.

Bought those 2-3 years back when they first came out. Ive got either 8 or 10 of them in the boat all around the Gunnel. I just cut some nice lil blocks of wood to place behind them to level them and ran lag bolts all the way through. Meant drilling small holes for the lag bolts but their small. Painted the wood and lag bolts to match the bolt. The holders themselves i put in a 5 gallon bucket attached to the casting deck in the bow. Put one screw through the bottom and drilled a couple of drain holes. Then put a couple of screws through the side into the side of the casting deck so it sets solid and you wont just pick it up and run off with it. Snap the lid on and it stores the holders and a spotlight out of the weather. Makes a bait cutting table to.
Their almost exactly like the atwoods though the bases are slightly different. Pintals are different sizes so you can use atwoods in action bases, wont fit. You get two rod holders for the price of one of the over priced atwoods to. I have'nt got to use mine much but plan to wear em out or try this spring.
Wish i could of got up there for their sospendors sale the 1st. 59.99 each for one day.
Whiskers, you should of hollered at me on your way up, i need to make a trip myself...lol
