Wes Watkins: May 20. Elevation above normal, water 68-75 and murky. Catfish very good on chicken liver, bait shrimp, minnows and worms at 1-3 ft. along shoreline of lake. White bass some schooling around the dam area and around the jetty areas, also fair while trolling with shallow diving crankbaits. Largemouth bass good on assorted soft plastics, sinkoes, tube jigs and lizards; buzzbaits and topwater lures in the early a.m. especially when cloudy, along grassy beds and weedy areas along shoreline in shallower waters. Spinnerbaits of lighter colors are still getting a good response. North entry opens daily at sunrise and locks at sunset. Skiatook: June 4. Elevation 1 1/2 ft above normal, water temperature in lower 70's and clearing. Striped bass hybrids fair in mouths of creeks and on points, on live bait and sassy shad. Largemouth bass seem to have gone to deeper water, suspended over structure, however, some still caught in shallow water, around cover on crankbaits. Smallmouth bass good on crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Crappie fair to good, on minnows, in creeks, and on structure, at docks and Hwy 20 bridge. Great Salt Plains: High temperatures and prolonged drought during the summer of 2006 resulted in a significant fish kill. Fisheries personnel has stocked catfish into the lake. The catfish should grow to catchable size by this summer or next, if water levels are favorable. The Wildlife Department is going to monitor fish populations in the lake very closely over the next few years and make management decisions to ensure this fishery is as healthy as it can be. This report will be updated as conditions change.

Arbuckle: June 16. Elevation 1 1/2 ft. above normal, water 81 and stained. Crappie good on marked brush piles using jigs and minnows. White bass good chasing shad in mid-lake using small rattletraps and wiggle tail jigs. Channel catfish good up creeks. Lower Mountain Fork River: June 18. Trout fishing has slowed with the best fishing being very early in the day or late in the evening. During the daytime, if you see the fish active at the surface try an ant pattern. Lately there has been lots of ants in the water and trout love to eat ants. Otherwise watch for insects hatching, light colored mayflies have been working as well as a light colored elk hair caddis fly and light colored nymph patterns like hare's ear and yellow soft hackle flies. Skiatook: June 4. Elevation 1 1/2 ft above normal, water temperature in lower 70's and clearing. Striped bass hybrids fair in mouths of creeks and on points, on live bait and sassy shad. Largemouth bass seem to have gone to deeper water, suspended over structure, however, some still caught in shallow water, around cover on crankbaits. Smallmouth bass good on crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Crappie fair to good, on minnows, in creeks, and on structure, at docks and Hwy 20 bridge. Tenkiller: June 19. Elevation 2 1/2 ft. above normal, water 77 and clear. Largemouth bass fair on topwater lures in flooded brush and near docks. Crappie slow with some action trolling over the main channel with deep runners and around brush at 12-25 ft. on roadrunner type jigs. Catfish fair off points on stinkbaits at 18-21 ft. Webbers Falls: June 18. Elevation 3 ft. above normal, water murky. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits and salt crawls along rip-rap and creek channels. Canton: June 17. Elevation 3 ft. above normal. Channel catfish fair on live bait and stinkbait along dam. Walleye, white bass and striped bass hybrids fair on crankbaits drifting slabs and trolling. Great Salt Plains: High temperatures and prolonged drought during the summer of 2006 resulted in a significant fish kill. Fisheries personnel has stocked catfish into the lake. The catfish should grow to catchable size by this summer or next, if water levels are favorable. The Wildlife Department is going to monitor fish populations in the lake very closely over the next few years and make management decisions to ensure this fishery is as healthy as it can be. This report will be updated as conditions change.

Arbuckle: June 16. Elevation 1 1/2 ft. above normal, water 81 and stained. Crappie good on marked brush piles using jigs and minnows. White bass good chasing shad in mid-lake using small rattletraps and wiggle tail jigs. Channel catfish good up creeks. Largemouth bass good using spinnerbaits and soft jerk baits shallow, crankbaits and Carolina rigged lizards off points. Report submitted by Jack Melton.

Broken Bow: June 18. Largemouth bass good off points and in the mouths of creeks on soft plastics and grubs. Channel catfish are being caught on trotlines and juglines baited with cut baits. Crappie good around standing timber and structure in the upper end of the lake on minnows and jigs. Walleye fair in the late evenings off points on crankbaits and five inch grubs. Eufaula: June 18. Elevation 2 1/2 ft. above normal and murky. Largemouth bass fair on plastic baits flipping flooded brush and willows and trolling the flats at 4-10 ft. with rattletraps. Konawa: June 18. Elevation normal, water 84 and clear. Largemouth bass good on topwater lures, plastic worms and weed beds at 4-8 ft. Channel catfish good on shad in the south cove at 5-10 ft. Report submitted by Daryl Howser, game warden stationed in Seminole County.
Lower Mountain Fork River: June 18. Trout fishing has slowed with the best fishing being very early in the day or late in the evening. During the daytime, if you see the fish active at the surface try an ant pattern. Lately there has been lots of ants in the water and trout love to eat ants. Otherwise watch for insects hatching, light colored mayflies have been working as well as a light colored elk hair caddis fly and light colored nymph patterns like hare's ear and yellow soft hackle flies. McGee Creek: June 17. Elevation 1 1/2 ft. above normal, water 78 and clear. Largemouth bass good on soft plastic lures at 2-6 ft. in front of weed beds. Report submitted by Larry Luman, game warden stationed in Atoka County.

Pine Creek: June 18. Elevation normal, water clear. Bass fishing great on dark colored super flukes. Crappie are good on jigs around flooded timber and tops. Robert S. Kerr: June 17. Elevation above normal, water 80 and murky. Largemouth bass slow at 6-8 ft. with plastic bait fishing the shoreline cover next to deeper water. White bass slow at 6-10 ft. using imitation shad crankbaits off the rip-rap jetties. Crappie fair at 10 ft. with minnows at the bends of the old creek channel. Sardis Lake: June 18. Elevation 1 12 ft. above normal. Largemouth bass good on spinnerbaits and artificial lures in creek channels. White bass good trolling around islands. Texoma: June 17. Elevation 1 1/4 ft. above normal, water 78 and clear. Largemouth and smallmouth bass fair to good on plastic baits, spinnerbaits and crankbaits at 5-15 ft. in creek channels. Striped and white bass fair to good on live bait, sassy shad and surface baits at 5-20 ft. below the Highway 70 bridge. Channel and blue catfish fair to good on worms, stinkbait and live bait at 5-15 ft. above Highway 70 bridge and in the Platter Flats area. Crappie fair to good on minnows and jigs at 5-15 ft. around fish attractors, under water brush and boat docks. All other fishing slow.
