Many moons ago. (like round 79 or 80) I went to a heated dock round near Wheatland. Cant for the sake of me, remember where I went. Anyone know of any heated docks near warsaw or this side of Pomme? wud sure take the chill offa some winter fishin blues. An mite even catch some bait. That one time I went. There was all these old guys (prolly my age now) fishin fer crappy. I hooked a carp. Them fellers wasa pullin in they're lines as my carp went round an round in there. Anuther thought. we could box in Whisker's pontoon an cut a hole in the floor an stick in a heater. ;D Be like ice fishin without the ice.

I don't know of any heated docks in that area but it would be nice to find one.I remember catching some carp at a heated dock down closer to Bagnell Dam back in the 70's but I don't remember where that was at either.
I went down to the ramp here yesterday and looked the cove over, would need to break ice fer about 50 yards just to get out to the open water.Sunday at the cafe,I was talking to an old couple that run a RV park somewhere in the area and they said they had a couple guys come in with fishing fever and they broke ice for a couple hundred feet just to get out in the boat and fish recently.I reckon it was about the time of the big ice storm.

There used to be and may still be a heated dock on the West end of the Pomme De Terre dam by the Marina. I don't know if the tornado this last spring got it or not. It would be worth a phone call to the Chamber of Commerce.

There also used to be one in the Nemo area years ago. Man had any lead in his pencil he would launch the boat and motor up to a nice south faceing cliff with some structure. Them crappie will be holding down about 20 feet. Used to fish the open docks on LOZ years ago with dad. break ice in the boat bays then have to keep the ice cleaned out of the rod eyes. Caught some good crappies though.
Sauger ought to be moveing up the osage towards turman any time now. Walleyes should be warming up a bit as well.

This cold weather will hardly even slow a blue down, their a cold water fish anyway. Just got to fish for em a lil deeper usualy. Man did some drifting up on truman around KK island id say he could catch a few. Down around the dam as well where the old road crosses and over by the bluffs.
