Well I think my Dad wants the tractor for himself which is OK for me because I would have left it down there for him anyway lol. Yea I think he wants to go look at it and if it's all there and straight I'm sure one of us will buy it,minus any unforeseen problems with it.Just needing an overhaul is no big deal if it will start by pulling it I see no problems with it really,I'm a little leary of ones that are stuck.

Went down to Arkansas today and looked at that tractor Slabmaster.Had to take the car down to look at it,have my 22' dovetail trailer tied up right now with a 20' cargo box on it that I haven't figured out what to do with it.Dad's buddy has a trailer we could use but he has it loaned to his son at the moment so it is tied up.I think dad is interested in it but we are just figuring out what would be the best way to get it home..lol
Talk about a small world, was talking to your pastor down there and when he figured out the general area we was from he said there was a girl from your church that was from somewhere back that way.Turns out she was a friend of mine from back in the day.....even went to high school with her.( Tilly) I don't know if you know who I'm talking about or not.I haven't seen her in about 20 years.

Wolf, I even passed pretty close to you today.I went through on O out of Marshfield on my way to Springfield today. I'm not sure just where your at but from your address I had seems like I remember that area being pretty close to the Industrial area out there.I used to work out there once upon a time.

I used to have a kid drive second seat for me on the big truck that lived along 44 (north side) bout 3-4 miles back toward Conway. His name was Billy Bob and he wore a big stetson hat all the time, can't remember his last name at the moment but I would know it if I heard it I think. It was about 15 years ago so I guess he would be about 40 or close to it now.His folks lived right around those water treatment ponds pretty close

The ponds im talking about are the big fishing ponds there by biggs old horse motel. I lived there for about 10 years. Got moved back out in the country last June. They had a bunch of stuff marked down a little for a few weeks before they moved, not many bargains though. Been nice if they had marked down their reciprocateing saws they had on display, i need one. The new super center is nice, just wish the hardware and sporting goods section was bigger. Their about the same size as in the old one. The electronics department is bigger. The deli's not to bad. Still learning where everythign is in the d@mn place. Been in a couple of times but have'nt had time to just look around. To much remodeling going on at moms. All my times been tied up. have'nt got to go fishing at all this summer damnit! The job ive been dreading i got to start in the next day or so, wish i had some help. Gotto redo the kitchen floor, run new water lines, repair the base of an outer wall while im doing this and probably going to have to remove the cabinets and sink to get the floor repaired. Back roof and porch was bad enough, this is really going to be a beotch!

Somewhere on here I thought I posted a couple pictures of the old tractor me and Dad went down and got, that Slabmaster found for us but I couldn't find the thread. Here are a couple before and after pictures.Dad just got it painted a day or two ago.It has a fresh overhaul, runs like new and now new paint. The new decals should be in any day now but here it is so far. before before After

It is a 1963 Massey Ferguson 35 with the Perkins Diesel engine. When we went down and got it there was a few problems but all is well now.It had a hole burnt through one piston which is why it had low compression and was hard to start. It has new sleeves, rings, valve job which my Dad did all himself. He rebuilt the lift, straightened out the metal(fenders, bumper, etc) then painted it.It is getiing a new steering wheel, cushions on the seat, new decals and a few other finishing touches but should be done in a few days.
