Went on my annual trip to Clay Lake in Ontario the week before Labor Day. Water was especially low. Fishing was just OK. Caught a 25 inch walleye and 30 inch northern. Fella in our camp caught a 44 3/4 inch 28.5 # muskie. It was huge. The belly appeared to be full. I saw the fish on the table being measured and prepared for freezing as the proud catcher wanted to have it mounted. I would have taken a photo and released it. The wind was horrible for 3 days. But we managed to catch plenty of walleye for shore lunches and to bring some home as well.
