Ive been in someone elses boat the half dozen times ive been on the osage except once up at bonnets mill access. Had mine then but i never got out on the MO. Had the girls and did'nt want to chance it with just a 10 hp. Usualy put in up below the dam at warsaw. Put in a couple times down at warsaw itself. Whitebass, crappies, cats and spoonbills. Still yet to catch a spoonbill. The guys i went with were'nt as knowledgable as they let on.
Whites n crappies ive done good. Cats i have'nt got to fish for em like i wanted to. Thats what i hate about being in someone elses boat, especialy somone your trying to Teach!
I imagine the sauger are makeing a run up below the dam right now, walleyes to though it's still a bit early. I probably wont be up that way untill march anyway. Might slip down to whiskers though. See if he knows anything about spoonbills n crappies...lol

Snaggin got ta be more work than I was intersted in, an I didn have a boat so I sold my rod and gave my sinkers an trebles to my kids. Only went after walleye once with my then father-in-law. Hit 1 he said bout 7 or 8 lbs. Helluva fight, but only bite in 11 hours didn spike my interst much. I use sauger in my coffee. Crappie make fer fair ta good eatin, an great potential bait! Nothin stretches th entertainment dollar, AND satisfies th belly like catfish!

Walleye eat about as good as flathead. Their fun to catch when you can find em, sauger to. I like eatting crappie as well. Whites, especialy working the surface are a blast to catch and give you a wild fight, hybrids to. 2lb fish make you think you got a 10lb lunker on, not crazy about eatting them though. Cats are my primary but you got to fill the slow times in with something.
