It would appear, Donkey, that you have considerable more time than money, but that still easily allows for a sizable sum!!!

It sure was nice for a change today.I didn't try to wet a line,it woulda took a pound of lead to cast a straight line.It was awful windy around here but nothing I can complain about.I got out and looked the lake over in several spots, there sure was alot of docks got trashed in the ice and snow.I couldn't begin to count how many were sunk and others that collapsed on top of boats, and several storage sites crashed on boats and RVs.

lol! I never thought of that.I have a big boom that would work good for that.I read in the paper today they were gonna start the winter draw down here on the lake so I reckon most of them will be above the water soon.

electronic ignition if it's cheap enough, pull start otherwise. I aint come into no money so 3 or 400 would be good for me at best. Motor needs to be in pretty decent shape and new enough i can still get parts.

By electronic ignition I meant something after mid-late 80s(?) when they went to a solid state ignition instead of having (contact) points.I'm not sure when they changed in boat motors. In cars and trucks it was about 1976. I'll keep an eye out and see what I can find.

Late 80's would be nice but probably more then i could afford...lol Tax returns are pretty well spent thanks to the ice storm and the old lady wrecking the car awhile back. Id just like to find something id feel confident useing on the osage, truman ect on my boat. Be able to get there in a fair amount of time and get off the water if it got bad. My lil 10 horse works on rivers and small lakes but i would'nt want to try and run truman, the osage if it's running or the MO with it.
Think i may try and do a lil remodeling on the boat again this spring. Like to cut some weight by redoing the floor and removeing the plywood. What would be nice would be find some kind of closed cell waterproof foam i could put down between the struts then cover with thin aluminum sheeting or some kind of plywood. It's got 1/2 inch or 5/8ths inch plywood in it now, don't remember. I get clare and amaber and all their junk in the boat the lil 10 don't quite get it up on plane. Just kinda plows...lol
