Unless my thermometer suddenly went nuts,it's 26 degrees outside right now.It was 34 this morning when I first looked about 9am this morning and it was only 45 at 3 this afternoon. It looks like the cold weather is fixin to settle in.I can handle the cold fairly well but I like to gradually get used to it if possible.I would like to see some more fall weather before winter sets in but I'm rarely consulted on the matter so I guess it is out of my hands.

WHY ON GODS GREEN EARTH, WOULD ANYONE WITH COMMON SENCE BE UP AT 2:37AM, THAT IS WHEN NORMAL PEOPLE ARE BETWEEN THE SHEETS, WHERE IT IS WARM, NOT WORRIED ABOUT THE COLD, THE RAIN OR NOTHIN ELSE. AND FOR THE RECORD, I HAVE GOTTEN UP AROUND 10:30AM, AND I'VE STILL SEEN FROST ON THE PUMPKIN.

Hey man WTF ! Yesterday it was 80*,last night we had tornado warnings / thunderstorm warnings and temps dropin' faster then a bug hit with raid. Got lots of rain last night (still will not help the lakes). Today the high was 31* right now @ 7:32pm it's 28*. Just yesterday I was outside doin' fall yardwork (took the day-off to work at home) in shorts and a t-shirt. Today it's sleetin' and a lite snow is blowin' in. Ice everywhere on the roads. How is everyone doin' north of Texas? It looks like ya'll are gettin' hammer'ed pretty good by this winter storm.

I had been doing yardwork here myself for a couple days.Wednesday evening it was 70* here.I was at my folks house about a 100 miles south of here, it was 72* when I started home.2 hours later before I got home it was 30* and sleeting and starting to stick to the road.We had about 1 1/2 inches of ice by morning.Last night it started sleeting again and we had a couple more inches when I went to bed about 9pm.I got up about 4:00 am to make coffee and I had to push snow away from the back door just to get it open to look out.I'm guessing there is about 15" of snow right now.I took my cooler out of the back of the truck and set it in the backyard last night and there is only an inch or so of it sticking up out of the snow.Last night the weather man was saying that the worst part of the storm would hit right around me and he may have been right for a change.lol!Possibly 15"-18" they said here, but around a foot in most areas.

Dang Dee... It looks like it's really cold man. All the ice we got is gone and it's 53*. That's the thing about our part of Texas. Bad weather hits and the drive home is a b!tch. The next morning the drive into work sucks but by 2pm all is normal again. Looks like ya'll may be snowed in. I've never seen so much as 6" of snow around here. Stay warm and stoke the fire.

Glad I'm here in the Rocky Mountains. We got about 1 1/2 inches of snow total. Cold for this time of year though. Got down to the single digits. We really never get the ice like you do. Feel for you cause I've lived there and driven in that stuff. Stay warm and safe. No need to shovel cause it will all melt someday!
