Has anyone ever tried on of these or something like it..? www.bluemarlinchronicles.com/hotspot_fishing_lights.htmIn early spring my nephew and I go to the lake and drop a small one down about 10-20ft. to draw in the crappie after dark. We use minnows and bobber fish from the boat. Seems to work pretty good.. To Edit.. I can build cheaper ones iffin' yer interested..

I wonder how effective these things are in water as muddy as we usually got around here!

They look like they should work pretty good,I've had pretty good luck using different under-water light setups.Any kind of light seems to draw in the baitfish and where they go the bigger fish follow. The price tag on those kind of scared me though...lol! Let us know what you come up with on building some and what they would cost,I might be interested in buying one to try out if the price is right...

I've only used the floating light. I have problems with fish and hooks getting caught in the anchor rope, and expected more problems with underwater light cords. Is this a problem?
Want a cheap floating light? Take an old round car headlamp and put it in the middle of a lawn tractor innertube. Works great!
