Me and my buddy were out fishing in one of my ponds for some bass while we were waiting for the catfish to start biting. We were using 7" berkley power worms and my buddy caught a huge sunfish on it, then about 10 minutes later I caught one even bigger. I have never seen any that big before and they got that berkley power worm all the way in their mouth, it was crazy.

If it was a stocked pond it could of been hybrids. 1 to 1 1/2lb hybrid bluegills are'nt uncommon. They get even bigger then that. The MDC stocks hybrid bluegills in some of their small lakes and ponds on their CA's but it's a closely guarded secret. No listing and they don't advertise so folks wont fish em out. Kind of silly as the hybrids are sterile to begin with...lol

Maybe it's time to start promoteing C&R of any bluegill over the 5 inch bait length limit to preserve the Hybrid Bluegill fishery.

I wonder where they could think of to hide THAT thread so nobody would be offended by it?!? I bet they'd find a place!
