The crappie were biting today

While waiting on some cats to bite on some larger live shad,I was fishing off the points with another pole with some small minnow size shad.I'm glad I did because the crappie was all I could get to bite today.I caught a nice mess of crappie that made the day turn out not to be a total wash for me.
The lake was pretty busy this weekend with the pro's out practicing for a big upcoming tournament.I'm glad I didn't take my little V bottom boat out,I would have got swamped on a few occassions.They were even rocking my pontoon pretty good while they were zipping around at about 70mph looking for the good spots.

I went back to the same spot Tuesday and fished with a Buddy from down home and caught a few bass(brown) on green colored jigs but we didn't catch any crappie.Was fishing with shad on a couple other poles and caught nothing.
