My favorite part of winter is watching the eagles return. Here is one by my house I took the other day. They were here last year in the same nest. There was a pair of them and they had 3 eaglets last spring, though I'm not sure they all survived.I watched them as they were growing and learning to fly.You can see the large nest in the background in the sycamore tree.

We cawt some of our best catches on days we saw an eagle th last two years! Perty neat! Most winters when we git a big artic front like is headed our way, it sweeps hawks by th thousand down from th North. I know a lot of people don't like'em But I look forward to seein'em.

I like seeing them also.Where you see the big birds there will be fish,or the birds wouldn't stick around I guess. I hope to get a few better pictures this winter.Anytime I have the camera they are always a quarter mile away or more. This one was at least that.In the top picture I am zoomed in with 4x optical and 4 or 5x on the digital zoom, the bottom picture is the same one, just enlarged on the computer.

lol! that would have worked out better but I never could coax him into doing that. what I meant was in the first picture I was already zoomed in close as i could get with the camera lens and in the second i used the computer to zoom in instead of the camera...
