Southwest
Rivers: Channel catfish are biting in deep pools during the evening and night.
Farm Ponds: Bluegill, largemouth bass and channel catfish are biting well.
Icaria (Adams): Some channel catfish are being caught.
Little River (Decatur): Channel catfish are biting from the bays on stink baits.
Wilson (Taylor): Some channel catfish are biting on stink baits or liver.
Windmill (Taylor): Some channel catfish have been caught on liver.
Green Valley (Union): Fishing is good for channel catfish on night crawlers, stink bait and liver off silt dikes, in shallow bays or from the rocks. Some bluegill can be caught from the cedar trees.
Three Mile (Union): Some crappie and bluegill can be caught from the flooded trees. Largemouth bass fish is good around structure.
Twelve Mile (Union): Mid-sized channel catfish are biting on all types of baits. Small and mid-sized walleyes are being caught on crawlers or leeches. Some bluegill can be caught from the flooded trees. Anglers are picking up largemouth bass up to 17 inches with most between 11 and 13 inches. Water clarity is about 8 feet at the dam.
Badger Creek (Madison): Some channel catfish can be caught from the riprap areas. Small bluegill can be caught from the ends of the jetties.
Three Fires (Taylor): Some nice channel catfish can be caught on liver or stink baits. Largemouth bass fishing is good near structure. The lake is full and easily usable. The water has about 3 feet of clarity at the dam.
Walnut Creek Marsh (Ringgold): Crappies are being caught from the flooded stumps. Bluegills are being caught from the south shore or the edges of the lily pads.
Fogle Lake (Ringgold): Bluegills are being caught on crawlers. Channel catfish are biting on stink baits or crawlers in the rocks or close to shore.
West Osceola (Clarke): Largemouth bass fishing is good near shore and around the trees. Some channel catfish can be caught from the shallow bays during the evening.

Big Creek (Polk): Decent size largemouths are being caught along the shore on artificial lures. Bluegills are biting on a small piece of night crawler fished around the shore and structure. Catfishing is fair on night crawlers and chicken liver.
Hickory Grove (Story): Catfishing is fair on night crawlers and chicken liver in the evening. Most fish are 12 to 18 inches, with some larger fish being caught. Bass, crappie and bluegill fishing is slow.
Saylorville (Polk): White bass fishing is good on crank baits and spinners that imitate shad. Catfishing is fair on night crawlers.
Saylorville Dam (Polk): Catfishing is decent on chicken liver, night crawlers and live bait in the evening.
Ahquabi (Warren): Lots of small, sub-legal largemouth bass are being caught on plastic worms and other artificial lures, and bluegills are biting on worms under a bobber. Overall fishing is slow.
Easter Lake (Polk): Catfishing is still fair on chicken liver at night, with fish up to 4 pounds being caught. Bluegills are biting all around on worm/bobber combos, but most fish are small.
Don Williams (Boone): A few crappies are being picked up here and there on jigs and minnows. Bluegills are biting on worms. Catfishing is fair on worms and stink bait. Bass fishing is fair in the mornings and evenings on artificials.
Red Rock (Marion): White bass fishing has been good. Try spinners and jigs in shad colors. Catfishing is decent on night crawlers and leeches.
Rock Creek (Jasper): Catfishing is good on just about anything.

Nodaway (Adair): Bluegill fishing is slow using small jigs tipped with night crawlers. Crappie fishing is also slow, but a few are being caught with minnows around brush piles. Channel catfishing is fair using liver.
Greenfield (Adair): Bluegill fishing is slow with a few still being caught drifting small jigs. Largemouth bass are being caught using plastic baits and spinner baits. Channel catfish fishing has been fair using liver.
Morman Trail (Adair): Bluegill fishing is fair on the south and west sides of the lake. Channel catfishing is good using liver around jetties and in the shallow bays in the evening.
Littlefield (Audubon): Crappie fishing is slow, but a few are being caught drifting a jig and minnow. Bluegill fishing is fair casting a small jig tipped with night crawlers. Channel catfishing has been fair in shallow bays and corners of the dam using stink bait.
Anita (Cass): Anglers are catching 7- to 8-inch bluegills using jigs from shore and around the jetties. Channel catfish, 2 to 6 pounds, are being caught on night crawlers and blood bait. Largemouth bass fishing has been fair for fish up to 18 inches. Crank baits and jigs fished around brush piles and rock piles have been most effective.
DeSoto Bend (Harrison): A few walleye have been caught drifting night crawlers around sunken trees. Crappie fishing is slow. Channel catfishing is fair on outside bends close to shore in the rocks. Dip baits with a red worm have been producing fish in the 2- to 4-pound range.
Manawa (Pottawattamie): A few walleyes are being caught on the west shore using Lindy rigs and crank baits. Channel catfish is fair drifting cut bait or shrimp.
Arrowhead (Pottawattamie): Bluegills are fair using jigs with night crawlers. Fish are 7 to 8 inches. Some channel catfish are biting on liver and prepared bait fished close to shore around jetties.
Prairie Rose (Shelby): Fishing is slow for crappies and bluegill. Channel catfish are fair fishing shallow bays with liver. A few largemouth bass are being caught using crawdad-colored lures.
Willow (Harrison): Bluegill fishing is slow with a few fish being caught on jigs tipped with night crawlers. Bass fishing has been good with 12- to 14-inch fish being caught on plastic worms and crank baits.
Schaben (Harrison): Bluegills are fair using small jigs tipped with night crawlers. Largemouth bass are also being caught on night crawlers and plastic baits.
Farm Ponds: Farm ponds are good for largemouth bass, bluegills and channel catfish. Be sure to ask permission from the landowner first, however.

Southeast
Mississippi River (Pools 16 - 19): Water levels in all pools are below flood stage. Water levels are 9.85 feet at Fairport, 5.5 feet at Muscatine and 7.8 feet at Burlington. Channel catfish are being caught along the rocked banks and wing dams using stink bait, night crawlers and dead shad. Other places to try are around snags with deeper water in the backwater sloughs. Crappies are being caught in the backwaters floating a minnow or wax worm under a bobber. Try fishing under water snags or tree tops with deeper water. Bluegills are also being caught in the backwaters on pieces of night crawler and wax worms. Walleye are biting on the wing dams using three-way rigs with a leech or half a crawler. Deep diving crankbaits can also be effective. Drum are being caught along the main channel on night crawlers. White bass are being caught in the tailwaters of the lock and dams. Try using little spinners, small crankbaits or a jig and twister tail.
Lake Darling (Washington): Catfishing has been fair with the bite mostly in the late evening. Chicken liver is working best. Try shrimp and stink baits, too.
Lake Geode (Henry): Bluegill fishing is fair. Look for fish at the edges of the weed lines. Catfish are biting on chicken liver and stink bait at the dam and in the bay across from the boat ramp.
Lake Belva Deer (Keokuk): Bluegill fishing is fair. Fish are near the surface before sunrise and get deeper as the sun gets higher. Anglers are catching some nice catfish out of the lake with the late evening being the best.
Lake Rathbun (Appanoose): Crappies have been hitting minnows fished around structure in 10 to 12 feet of water. Channel catfish have been biting on liver and night crawlers.
Lake Sugema (Van Buren): Bluegills have been hitting waxworms or a chunk of night crawler on a hook suspended at about 8 feet. Largemouth bass have been hitting on spinnerbaits, with the mornings and evenings being the most productive. A few walleyes have been biting on leeches in the evenings.
Lake Wapello (Davis): Bluegills and redears have been hitting small jigs fished in the shallows. Channel catfish have been biting on chicken liver.
Lake Miami (Monroe): Channel catfish have been biting on liver. Bluegills and crappies have been hitting on small jigs tipped with a night crawler or a minnow drifted in the deeper parts of the lake.
Diamond Lake (Poweshiek): Channel catfish are hanging around the rock jetties and are hitting best on stinkbait and crawlers. Bluegills and crappies are in the deeper brush now and can be caught on small jigs or wax worms.
Kent Park (Johnson): Channel catfish are biting on stinkbait and crawlers, while the bluegills are biting on small worms or wax worms. Don’t fish deeper than 8 feet as the oxygen levels are low in deeper depths due to warm water conditions.
Skunk River (Washington and Henry counties.): The river level is stable with lots of activity at the boat ramps. Catfishing is very good using stink baits and bank lines.
Cedar River (Linn): Channel catfish are still being taken on shad, shiners and chubs. Flatheads are being picked up on bluegills and chubs. White bass and the occasional walleye are also being caught below the dams on minnows.
