Guesstamatin about 3 or 4 am. I was piddlin around waitin patiently for a bite. And my lil ol 733 took off like a scalded dog. I hopped over an grabbed it up outta the holder an waited for the next tug. Off it went again. I grabbed on an set the brakes an the damned reel fell off on the ground. I looked up to see if anyone seen me. (wasnt no one around anyhow) And grabbed it up an commenced to screwin it back on the pole. Luckily the fish waited on me as well. Got it back together an off it went again. I set the brakes again an thawt, "this'un's a biggun". Sauntered back ta get the net an played ever so gently to get the montrous creature in. Turned out it was just a itty bitty 4 1/2 pound white cat. Still it was a perty good fight for a "soon to be" junk zebco. Just glad no one was around with a video camera. The fish seemed to be active till bout 4:30, then it just up an died off. I donated a few itty bitty perch to the cause, and finally cawt this one on a cut portion of a larger one. Wished I'da had some shad. I think I'da done more better. Dang gar was out in full force. Mite getta picture up here sometime. Just thought ya mite like a fishin report to go with the mater thief reports. Lake has still gotta bouta half foot to drop fore i can get to my fav fishin hole. Prolly coulda drove out there last night. But 6 inches mite as well be 6 feet in the dark. All looks the same.
